Furious Pixels. 3 rounds. 8 competitors. Only one winner.

On April 28, Greenville’s division of AIGA hosted a Furious Pixels competition based on the concept of Pixels of Fury, a “live creative inspiration tournament” sponsored by Shutterstock.

Four designers competed in each of the first two rounds, with only one emerging victorious from each. Briana Phillips and Lisa Burhanna were the round winners and competed against each other in one third and final round, with Lisa crowned as the tournament winner. Round winners were decided by audience voting via text.

In addition to the main tournament, a side competition for spectators was also hosted. The game was napkin doodles, and the winner won a Dairy Queen gift card. Tables holding napkins and pens were set up in each corner of the Digital Media center.
