50 Years of Bond
Since 1962, this franchise has been lighting up the big screen with its amazing portrayals of the infamously charming spy. We all know the famous name: “It’s “Bond. James Bond”. This novel series turned movie franchise has given us a fantastic look into the life of our favorite spy. With high-tech gear, fancy cars, and charm as his weapons, we have seen 007 save humanity time and time again. The franchise has entertained us for over fifty years with Bond’s action packed skills and the thrilling story lines.
This year will release the twenty-fifth James Bond film, Spectra. To prepare you for the newest film or tell you where to start your marathon, here is our James Bond Timeline.
1. Dr. No (1962)
Dr. No would be the very first James Bond film to hit theaters. It starred Sean Connery as the new 007 agent on a mission. At the start of the movie, he is sent to Jamaica to discover what happened to a missing agent. Along the way, his tech gadgets and incredible charm help him make his way and solve the mystery.

6. On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)
In this 1969 James Bond Film, Sean Connery was not seen on the big screen. Instead, George Lazenby played the 007 spy. It proved to be hard to replace Sean Connery as the famous Bond. In On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, Bond infiltrates a research facility by going undercover to find out what is really going on in the secret lab.
7. Diamonds Are Forever (1971)
8. Live and Let Die (1973)
In Live and Let Die, Roger Moore took the screen and shocked the world at how well he could take on the role as the daring James Bond. In this film, Bond must investigate the mysterious deaths of three fellow agents that all occurred in a twenty-four hour time period.

Timothy Dalton takes the big screen for the first time as James Bond. He must travel across seven continents to stop an arms dealer from causing the next world war.
17. License to Kill (1989)
18. GoldenEye (1995)
GoldenEye brings us yet again another new James Bond in Peirce Bronsnan. In this movie, the audience is introduced to Bond’s best friend, 006. After 006 is killed during a mission, Bond must go down the rabbit hole to stop a hijacking of a nuclear space weapon. The twist that comes with this mission may prove to be too much for James.

In this 2006 film, the Bond franchise takes a new turn as they start from scratch, bringing us a very different James Bond. Daniel Craig portrays Bond in a much darker way while still showing us the charm that Bond brings to the table. Casino Royale shows as 007 starts at the beginning, with his very first mission. He must enter a high-stakes poker game to find out the plans of a very dangerous weapons dealer.
