Greenville College athletics has many talented young men and women. This week we chose to recognize a senior men’s basketball player, Tim Daniel. Not only is Daniel leading the nation in three-point makes, but he has recently been inducted into the 1,000 point club. Daniel came in as a freshman receiving quite a bit of varsity playing time. By the end of the season, he became a starter for Greenville College and remains a starter for his team.

Most know him as a quiet, humble leader with one heck of a shot. Coach Barber says, “He is a more introverted and quiet leader that leads by example. When he gets on his teammates, it is always in a caring way.” While talking with Coach Barber about Daniel, he mentions, “He is the purest of shooters. He has worked so hard and especially on his shot, it’s like the prettiest shot you will ever see.”

I sat down with Tim to learn about his experience with the Greenville Men’s basketball team. Take a look at GC’s athlete of the week, Tim Daniel, by checking out the podcast below. He shares some of his favorite memories, those who have made an impact on his basketball career, and his favorite thing about Greenville Basketball.
