Talented and determined are just two words to describe our GC Athlete of the Week, Nate Wieland. Wieland is a sophomore tennis star. He has been playing tennis since his freshman year of high school and is very confident that he will be playing for a long time. He was raised in Mascoutah, Ill and is majoring in Pastoral Ministry.
The Greenville College Tennis team is currently ranked first in the conference for the first time in SLIAC history. Wieland has been a strong player for GC and has had quite a few accomplishments in his career thus far. He was SLIAC First Team All-Conference, Newcomer of the Year, and the team’s MVP as a freshman. This is extremely impressive and we are excited to see what he does in the future.
