Bald Perspective Episode 5: Prince vs MJ

Written by Dylan Deppe. Produced by Matthew Stoddard.

This week on “The Bald Perspective,” Matt and Deppe were finally joined by both super friends Ben Casey and Deryk Rumbold. Deppe began the lively conversation by talking about how pumped he was to see the new movie “Annihilation,” especially the “putting the plants in the people” parts.

Following breaking news, the bald gang reacted to “Avengers: Infinity War” being moved from a May-4 release to an April-27 release. After that, the gang revisited their discussion of Eli Roth’s “Death Wish,” starring fellow bald man, Bruce Willis, while adding their thoughts on the negative critical reactions to the film.

Next, they began an interesting conversation about the cinematic genre known as exploitation, that the original movie was categorized as. The exploitation led to a hefty discussion of Quentin Tarantino’s upcoming “Star Trek” movie and “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” as well as his past filmography.

Rounding out the conversation, they had a debate about who was better: Prince or Michael Jackson? While Deppe was the only one who could appreciate the quasi-revolutionary aesthetic set forth by the infamous Purple One, a good time was still had by all.
