Viewing the work of those who are thriving in a creative field can motivate a person to want to work on their craft, whatever it may be. Instagram can be a great source for finding works of creatives from all over the world, helping to pull you out of a creative slump. Jenna Kutcher (@jennakutcher)
Jenna Kutcher is a photographer and marketing genius based in Minnesota (while also spending part of the year in their Hawaii condo affectionately named @thekutchercondo). Kutcher’s light and airy photographs stand out amongst the crowd in a very populated industry.
Sam Hurd (@iamthesam)
As a DC/Baltimore photographer who specializes in portraiture and wedding photography, Sam Hurd’s photos are simultaneously dark and moody, while having a strong color and light presence. Hurd offers tips, tricks, and tutorials through Patreon, so if you’re wanting to dive into photography it may be worth spending a few bucks a month to gain access to his wealth of photography knowledge.

Tom Froese is a freelance illustrator based in Vancouver, Canada. He has worked with companies like Airbnb, Yahoo!, Wall Street Journal and the list goes on. An illustrator living in Portland, OR, Jarom Vogel has an impressive list of past clients such as Apple, Disney, Procreate, Spotify and many more large names. Recently, Vogel has been using code to create Parallax illustrations that have the appearance of a 3D image when a screen is moved. Arley Cornell, a Greenville University graduate, has created a name for himself in the world of animation. His feed is filled with interesting and appealing animations as well as illustrations, and he has worked on projects with companies like Oculus and Toyota USA.

Andrea Love has not only mastered stop motion animation; she also has mastered the art of needle felting. For each project, she creates beautifully lifelike creatures, people and scenery from wool and manages to bring them to life using her animating skills. Recently, she created a 5 minute short film titled The Messy Adventures of Mud and is working on an adaptation of Thumbelina currently.

While Alison Faulkner may not be similar to the others on this list as far as content is concerned, she definitely is a great resource to find inspiration and motivation in your life. Alison has an amazing Instagram presence between promoting her Podcast, The Alison Show, showing off cookies made with her Alison’s Cookie Party course, or dancing around her office to shake off the blues. She will keep you entertained all while uplifting your spirit and helping you realize “you’re already as awesome as you need to be.”
