15 Things You May Have Missed at the All College Hike

The Opportunities Fair: I sure hope no one missed this because there were businesses and campus organizations promoting what they do and several even gave out free stuff! Let’s be real, who does not like free stuff?!

The Basketball Team: If you opted to drive out to Durley instead of walk, run, or bike, you missed the basketball team cheering the hikers on as they passed out water.
AgapeFest Table: The AgapeFest cabinet had a sweet photo booth set up to show how awesome Agape is and how everyone should apply to be a part of this year’s festival!

The Volleyball Tournament: Several teams fought to the death (figuratively, of course) to see who would come out on top as the best volleyball players in the school… that are not on the actual team… Seth Martin’s team won!!!

Cardboard Boat Race: Six floors built cardboard boat races and had to make their way to our student body president, Nathan Hood, in a canoe, give him a high five, and then go back to the beach in order to be declared the winner. Elliot Thompson won for 2nd Holtwick!!!

The Improv Tryouts Table: Those kids are flat out hilarious, aren’t they?!
The Tug-of-War Competition: The freshmen class may have won this year, but the faculty tricked them during the staff round by simply dropping the rope as soon as the freshmen pulled the rope to their side… and we even got to see Norm Hall and Dustin Fenton trip over the rope!

The Buttons: After voting for the class Senate positions, you could have taken buttons with different designs for the All College Hike! Emily Callon is extremely proud of them, and rightfully so!
Speaking of Emily Callon: She gave an incredible message during chapel about what it means to follow God’s path for our lives and learn how to handle difficult transitions.

The Basketball Tournament: Obviously you missed it because none of the teams even showed up to play…
WGRN: People often overlook the music playing in the background, but WGRN played an awesome variety of music this year!
Canoeing: The docks were open for the students to have a good time paddling around the lake with the supervision of our trusty lifeguards, Tessa Harmon and Parker Wray!

The Sweet Shirts: I think we can all agree that Lisa Burhanna did an incredible job at designing our shirts this year!

Matea and Puddles: If you did not go to chapel, then you missed the video of Dustin Fenton’s adorable daughter squealing with happiness as she splashed around in puddles.
A Fantastic Day: If you did not come out to the All College Hike at all, then you missed a lot of wonderful opportunities for friendly competition, a day outdoors, and the chance to spend time off classes with your friends!
