Winners and Losers of NFL Opening Week

Losers

  • The AFC North

    • The Steelers are projected by many to be a Super Bowl contender, but this week they showed that they can’t run the ball, pass the ball, or hold the ball.

    • The defending champions, the Ravens, haven’t found an identity on defense, and seems to lack leadership, as they gave up 510 yards to the Broncos’ offense.  Will the loss of future hall of fame Linebacker, Ray Lewis, be the downfall of this once  impenetrable defense?

    • The Bengals must figure out a way to beat teams with elite defenses, i.e. the ball hungry Chicago Bears.

    • How much do we really expect from the Browns? A roster full of no-namers and a week one loss to a sub-par Dolphins team suggests Cleveland should be ready for another humdrum season.

  • Marc Sanchez

    • The Jets win without Sanchez. so is Sanchez out of a job?

  • New England

    • They beat the Buffalo Bills by 2 points. They really missed  tight ends, Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, this week, and it will be really interesting to see how the Pats offense will fair against the more elite teams of the NFL.

Winners

  • Peyton Manning

    • The guy did throw 7 touchdowns, against one of the most decorated defenses in the NFL. He and the Bronco offense seemed to be firing on all cylinders. Not to mention, his name is Peyton Manning.

  • Rams Fans

    • The Rams are UNDEFEATED. Fans of the St. Louis Rams finally saw a glimpse of hope, when their beloved St. Louis Rams put together a comeback victory over the Arizona Cardinals.

  • Bruno Mars?

    • The biggest event on the Sports Calendar is the Super Bowl. The NFL announced that Grammy Award Winning artist Bruno Mars will be performing at Super Bowl XLVIII.
