The Greenville Men’s Basketball team defeated Dominican on Saturday with a final score of 93-65. The win extended Greenville’s winning
streak to three games. The Panthers showcased their fast paced new offense, and the action was a lot of fun to watch.
Greenville’s offensive charge was led by two players in particular: Michael Hohm and Ron Harris. Both players scored twenty points. Junior, Ron Harris, also snatched 7 rebounds in the game, and freshman standout Michael Hohm made 3 out of 4 shots from beyond the arc.
Senior, Alex Mumphard, was another vital component to the Panther’s victory. Mumphard displayed amazing leadership on the floor and contributed 6 assists and 17 points for Greenville. Alex Mumphard shot an impressive 3 for 5 from the perimeter. Sophomore sharp shooter, Tim Daniel also caught fire and made 2 out of 3 of his Three Pointers and 5 of his 6 attempted shots (Daniel ended with 13 points).
Before the game on Saturday every member of the Greenville Basketball team signed their names inside the center court circle with markers. The exercise was to remind the players that they have responsibility for what happens on their home court. The Panthers took hold of that responsibility, and delivered on their home opener. Come watch Greenville take on St. Louis Pharmacy on Tuesday November 26th at home, as regular season action heads in to full go.
I really appreciate stories about our home team. Thanks!!!! Well done.
