Everyone loves to try seasonal drinks at coffee shops, and Jo’s Java is just the place to do that on Greenville University’s campus. Jo’s has an inviting environment and is a great place for doing homework, scheduling meetings, socializing and catching up with friends before a long day of classes. Owner Bonnie Jo Cole does a great job of ensuring her customers are happy with their service and have an unforgettable experience.

Jo’s offers a variety of seasonal drink options, including a list of fall specialty drinks. These are typically offered between the months of September and November.

Here is a description of 5 of the most popular fall drinks at Jo’s Java:

Pumpkin Chai

“I would say the most popular fall drink at Jo’s is this [pumpkin chai],” says barista, Kristen Davis, “Since it’s been a warmer fall so far, people typically order it iced…” Chai tea lattes are already a hit at Jo’s, so adding pumpkin for many people only enhances the drink. It consists of milk and liquid or powdered chai, depending on whether it is a hot or cold drink.

Autumn Soother

This drink was added to the fall drinks list just a few years ago. It is often overlooked because not many people know what it consists of. The autumn soother actually has no espresso or tea in it and is simply steamed milk with hazelnut and white chocolate flavoring.

Pumpkin Pie Latte

This drink can be served hot or iced. It is made with espresso, milk, and a shot of pumpkin syrup. This is one of the more basic fall drinks Jo’s offers. Cole says, “It’s like having warm pumpkin pie in a cup.” Who wouldn’t want that?

Pumpkin Patch Mocha

This drink can also be hot or iced. With a base of espresso and milk, white chocolate and pumpkin syrup are added to make this drink what it is. If you are not a fan of white chocolate, it is also delicious when made with dark chocolate.

Apple Cider

Hot or cold, this drink is as simple as it gets, but is still only offered for a limited time during the fall season. If you want to spice it up a bit, try adding additional cinnamon flavoring.
