Over the past couple of months, Disney has been releasing trailer after trailer for upcoming movies. We are now able to see a small piece of these long-awaited films. Although it is nearly impossible to figure out what the plot is going to be about in some of these trailers, we are still able to pull out glimpses of new characters and new locations.

Dumbo (2019). Media by Disney.

You watched an elephant fly in the 1941 animation, and this March, you can see it happen again with the live action version of “Dumbo.” In the first teaser trailer for this movie, we get a first look at th big-eared elephant and his strong connection between two children. The second trailer released in November shows us more of the circus and rising conflicts. “Dumbo” is to be released March 29.

Will Smith as Genie. Media by Disney.

You ain’t never had a friend like me!” These lyrics are proven true as a blue figure steps into the light – but first, we can take a step back to the sand dunes of Agrabah, which introduce us to the first Aladdin teaser trailer. We then fly with Iago to the dark cave where Jafar’s evil voice rings, later seeing Aladdin himself. Four months later, we see the first look of Princess Jasmine and the famous blue genie. Will Smith plays the comical wish-maker who we get our first view of as he escapes from the lamp. While many people are still unsure of the CGI version of Smith, there are plenty of people eager for the release. “Aladdin” will come to theaters on May 24.

New Characters, Ducky and Bunny, from “Toy Story 4” Teaser Trailer. Media by Disney – Pixar.

We first met Woody and Buzz Lightyear twenty-four years ago in the original “Toy Story.” (SPOILER ALERT) We were last seen at Bonnie’s house in the tear-jerking moment of Andy driving away to college. Will the story continue with Bonnie? In the first teasers of “Toy Story 4,” we see the toys spinning and holding hands with a spoon, later colliding into each other. In other teasers, we meet carnival toys Ducky and Bunny, later seeing Buzz Lightyear being tied up as a prize with these two characters. Good Morning America also premiered a new clip showing the action between Woody and Bo Peep. Is there anything romantic going on between these two? No one knows for sure yet, but Tim Allen (voice of Buzz Lightyear) alluded to another emotional ending as he spoke on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” “Toy Story 4” comes out this summer on June 21.

The Lion King (2019). Media by Disney.

The kingdom continues in yet another tear-jerking movie: “The Lion King.” With fans worried about how they are going to be able to handle a specific part in the movie, there is much excitement for this live-action remake. Returning as Mufasa is James Earl Jones, with surprising new voices like Donald Glover and BeyoncĂ©. In the teaser trailer, we get a look at the furry baby Simba. “The Lion King” is to be released on July 19.

New Characters from “Frozen 2” Teaser Trailer. Media by Brett Salyards.

Get ready to have catchy songs sung by your kids, nieces, nephews, and even your close friends stuck in your head again. Disney is soon releasing “Frozen 2,” the sequel to the 2013 movie, which is the highest-grossing animated film ever. The very recent teaser trailer starts off with Queen Elsa running towards the water as she freezes the waves with each step she takes. Unable to run too far out, she remains stuck on land. (SPOILER ALERT) Is it the result of a shipwreck, just like her parents? (Too soon?) Perhaps, but at this point, it is too early to tell. In this trailer, we encounter the returning characters in beautiful fall colors, along with a brief glimpse at some new characters. At the 1:24 mark in the trailer we see a girl with auburn-colored hair and a blonde-haired man amongst the leaves. These two may hold the voices of Evan Rachel Wood and Sterling K. Brown, who have yet to have their characters recognized on IMDb. We will find out more as we approach the movie’s release date of November 22.

2019 holds a lot of exciting movies from the Disney company. Other movies being released this year from the company that have not been mentioned are “Captain Marvel” (March 8), “Penguins” (April 17), “Avengers: Endgame” (April 26), “Artemis Fowl” (August 9), and “Star Wars: Episode IX” (December 20).
