Holidays have always had a special place in my heart. My family and I love cooking and eating a big traditional Thanksgiving meal. But as my family and I soon learn you can only eat so much turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, and dressing. Boring Thanksgiving leftovers can be transformed into another special meal that your family will love. The recipes below are soon to be new traditions that your family will cook up time and time again.
With Thanksgiving just a few days away, people are probably getting pretty excited – for some time off of work and school, delicious food (and lots of it), football, and an early start on some Christmas gift shopping. Black Friday is just around the corner, coming with the promise of good deals, long check-out lines, huge crowds, and possibly injuries and violence. Spending less money is a good thing, but at what point will we stop and wonder if it is worth the Black Friday chaos?
We are living in the time between Halloween and Thanksgiving in which debates rage over the appearance of Christmas spirit. From the early arrival of Christmas decorations in stores to the beginning of Christmas shopping deals, Thanksgiving begins to feel like the forgotten holiday. I would propose, though, that the point of most contention among Christmas crazies and Ebeneezer Scrooges is the time at which listening to Christmas music becomes appropriate. Now there are several schools of thought on when on should begin listening to Christmas music, so in this article we will attempt to gain a better understanding of each.
