Written by Emily Ward. Media by Kat Kelley On Friday April 12th the Greenville College volleyball team hosted their third annual Trivia Night to help pay for the missions trip to the Dominican Republic in the summer of 2014. The night was full of fun and games as tables consisting of eight people competed against each other for the prize of $25 gift certificates to businesses around Greenville. In addition there was an auction at the end of the night and various door-prizes were given made up of donations given by local businesses and restaurants. Each volleyball player hosted their own table and provided delicious treats for that table. The Trivia Night has always been a highlight for the volleyball team's fundraisers. Family and friends come to Greenville to hang out to try to answer obscure questions and show support for the efforts of the team. Coach Tom Ackerman had this to say about the Trivia Night, “Trivia night has become a tradition for us and a great way for us to raise money for our missions trips. 100% of the proceeds go into our mission trip account and this year we raised nearly $3,000. We are so grateful to all the businesses in town that contributed and to all of our friends and family who participated.”
