The Globe Theater is a Greenville gem that is hard to miss on the square with its neon signs. It is a great place for parties, date nights or family nights out. What you may not know are the many things that go one in and around the Globe.

On Sunday mornings, you can join the Bridge Church at the Globe Theater for church. They have service at 10 AM, with a variety of coffee and doughnuts at 9:30. They are a new church plant that started in October of 2014. Stop by for a great service and to experience the Globe Theater in a new way.

Served at the Bridge, and roasted in the upstairs of the Globe Theater, is TriFold Roasters. If you have been to Jo’s Java or 2 Marthas, you may have had a mug of Trifold’s coffee. They have been located in the Globe Theater since last August. They roast all of their coffee and store all of their equipment and coffee in the commercial kitchen upstairs. Alex Staton, a founder of Trifold roasters, said “The Globe has been a great place for us to roast and package our coffee. It also works well because we partner with the Bridge Greenville to serve coffee on Sunday’s and they use the Globe as well.” They strive to educate people in the making and origins of coffee in a Christ-centered way.

The Globe Theater has a thing for good coffee. Well, who doesn’t? When talking with Bonnie Jo, the owner of Jo’s Java, she explained her history with the Globe. At one point, she used the upstairs to put on live music on weekends. Serving coffee and enjoying great music was just another happening at the Globe Theater.

Now down to the basics, the Globe Theater has movies playing almost every night at 7:00 PM. Currently showing is The Jungle Book, The Boss, and My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2.

Jamie Bible says “I love that I don’t have to sell my left kidney to buy a ticket.”

The Globe Theater is so nicely placed in walking distance from Greenville College and is greatly appreciated by all college students. We have all seen the emails about CC @ GC. The Globe Theater so graciously works with the Greenville College class to provide a space for these Wednesday events. If you are free on a Wednesday, stop by to support the class and enjoy a movie at the Globe.

As you can see, there are many happenings around the Globe Theater. If you get an opportunity, visit the globe for church, coffee or class. It is located on the Greenville town square. Tickets are as low as $5. You can even use it as a party venue. Check out their website for more info.
