The NCCAA All- American is a difficult title for any athlete to accomplish, but three of our very own Greenville College soccer players were able to do just that. Johnny Madrid, Tymber Gabbert and Hope Brakenhoff were announced last weekend as Honorable Mention selections on the All-American team.
Johnny Madrid is a freshman forward from Chicago, Ill. He has accomplished so much in just one year of collegiate soccer. He was named Third team All-Conference, Offensive player of the week and scored a total of 13 goals in just one season.
Junior Tymber Gabbert, the team captain and center back for Greenville, is from Sedalia, Mo. She was the SLIAC defensive player of the week, named Second Team All-Conference, All-Region, SLIAC All-Tournament team, All-Academic team and NCCAA All-American.
Hope Brakenhoff, a sophomore, is Greenville’s starting goal keeper from Litchfield, Ill. She was named to the first team SLIAC All-Conference, All-Region, All-Academic team and NCCAA All-American.
