Blackroom Concerts

The Blackroom is an awesome place where our students can feel free to show off their musical talents. It is located near Janssen and Holtwick Hall on the main campus. Shows start back up next week on September 11 and they usually begin around 8:30 pm. This is a weekly event that happens every Tuesday. A variety of bands play and for those who are interested, there is a chance to test your voice during open mic night.

Sporting Events

All College Hike 2017

All College Hike is a time to come together for fellowship and to admire the Lord’s creation while participating in fun outdoor activities such as kayaking and basketball. We do not have class this day so everyone may enjoy this time together, including faculty. It begins at Whitlock Center on the morning of Wednesday, September 13. The Hike consists of five and a half miles that participants are encouraged to walk, jog, bike, etc. Once you arrive, you will find that there are plenty of things to do. Some options include playing small sided games, dancing to the music, or going for a paddle boat ride in the lake. If you do not like any of those choices, there is plenty of space to be creative and make something up for you and your friends to do. Before going out to the activities, go inside and see what opportunities are available to at the Opportunities Fair. Also, the Freshman Class will be involved in a Freshman Class election. Do not miss out on this awesome event!

Greenville University Celebration

This is a celebration of Greenville College/University being an institution for 125 years. Classes are canceled on Wednesday, September 20 for this special occasion. Students will have the option to attend up to four events throughout the day. Student’s names will also be thrown into a drawing to win prizes. There will be lots of fun and surprises this day, so make sure to attend!

Whether it is sporting games, the Blackroom, or Vespers, Greenville University offers many activities that students can attend throughout the school year. Greenville may be a small town, but if you look close enough there is always a way to find entertainment. Step out of your comfort zone and have fun this school year!
